How to Download Facebook Videos From iPhone - Facebook is the most popular social networking website in the world, with an estimated user base of more than 2.3 million users worldwide. The majority of Facebook's user base is on mobile platforms, including iOS and Android. The native Facebook application on iOS is great for using networks; however, it does not offer the option to download videos to your mobile. If you are using an iPhone / iPad, there is an application that can download Facebook videos for you.
MyMedia is a file manager that allows you to download various media content to your iOS device. In the case of video, you can download it from the website (third-party downloader) and save it to your camera roll. This application is also free, so that is an added advantage.
1. Download the free MyMedia application to your iPhone / iPad. This requires your device to run iOS 9 or newer.
2. Open the Facebook or Facebook application in your mobile browser. Navigate to the video that you want to download. Make sure that the video sharing settings are set to "Public," otherwise MyMedia won't be able to download videos.
3. Copy the video link. This can be easily done by pressing the "Share -> Other Options -> Copy" button (shown above). This will automatically copy the video link to the clipboard.
4. Open the MyMedia application, and select the browser tab. In the address bar, enter "fbdown.net" and press Enter.
5. After the website is opened, in the download link area, paste the link for the Facebook video that you copied earlier.
6. Now, select the quality you want to download videos. You can choose from HQ quality or Normal (Standard) quality.
7. Enter the file name and press Enter. The video will start downloading.
8. After downloading, tap outside the dialog box and open the "Media" tab from the bottom of the screen.
9. Tap the name of the video that you just downloaded and select "Save to Camera Roll." Give the application permission to do so when requested.
You can also download videos from other platforms such as Youtube by simply entering the Youtube download website link in the Browser tab and the Youtube video link on each website. Use the same method as described above to save videos to your camera roll.
There she is. Now you will find your video on the device's camera roll where you can watch it later or send it to anyone you want. Unfortunately, this method isn't as good as having the option in the Facebook application to download videos directly, but until we get it on iOS (which may be long), this is a good alternative.
